Just join the group and hit the 'Start a Discussion' tab and introduce yourself to the group and remember to go to the right on the group home page and select how you want to receive email notifications when someone answers your posts.

You may also find our various Macmillan Support Line Services on 0808 808 00 00 to be helpful as you can talk to a friendly person that can help in lots of ways.

    All the best.

  • Hi Nikki,

and another welcome! Mike has posted a link to the busy and very friendly breast group, do join and begin your own thread!

sometimes having chemo first (called neoadjuvant therapy) can get great results and enable the surgery to be less invasive, maybe this is why they have decided this route for you. Do ask your BCN (your breast care specialist nurse) who should be available for all sorts of queries. Our hospital unit is busy but leaving a message on their answerphone always results in a call back when usually they will be able to help quickly.

I had the grade 3 triple negative diagnosis a week ago, consultant yesterday said that chemotherapy first cuts down on the cancer recurrence after treatment, hope this helps x
