I spend a lot of time indoors, in front of the tv. I am a bit of a soap addict, with Eastenders being my favourite. But I am always looking for new things to watch, so thought I would start a thread to see what you have been watching, any good recommendations that might interest anyone.
Awww bless little Alfie, but I'm sure it's a happy busy for you, and the little fella, and I'm so sorry the heat affects you so badly, watching those weather presenters going on about hot weather, as if everyone enjoys it, can't be easy.
Thank you my friend, we had a lovely weekend, a trip to Filey on Saturday, a family dinner on Sunday and yesterday a party for baby Mandy who was 1yo, my favourite show years ago was Auf Weidersehen Pet, so he's always been a favourite, I also saw another of his films, Away, maybe 10 years ago now, not a feelgood movie but absorbing.

Oh how lovely, happy 1st birthday to baby Mandy.
Auf Weiderenhen pet! Now that takes me back to my weekends of staying with my grandmother, she loved that show. Timothy Spall Was in a really good series last year called the sixth commandment where he played Peter Farquhar who was murdered by a former pupil of his. Interesting to know that Timothy Spall is also a cancer survivor after having leukaemia in 1996.
Thanks Chelle, and sorry for the late reply, it's been a long day. and I didn't know he'd had leukemia,so thank you for that, and when will little Alfie be exploring the world, I think everyone will be wanting to make a fuss of him.

He is having little walks, he loves everyone he meets so what should be a 15 minute walk turns into an hour. X
It does not start until Sunday 25th May but I shall be watching another Timothy Spalls series called Death Valley. It’s on BBC1 and iplayer, looking forward to this one.
Morning Chelle, my auntie used to live in Llantwit Major where it's being filmed, and I've been many times, so might watch it for sentimental reasons, it was a lovely place to visit, the southern most point in Wales, before she moved to Puddletown in Dorset.
I hope you and your family are well, and of course little Alfie

Is anybody watching code of silence on itv and itvx. It’s a crime drama about a deaf civilian who is helping police by lip reading gang members they are investigating. Rose Ayling-Ellis Is a wonderful actress who first appeared on our screens in Eastenders and then went on to win the 2021 strictly come dancing, which was amazing to watch considering she is deaf.
Code of silence is a fabulous watch and I highly recommend it.
Hi i have watched the first two episodes, enjoying so far. Just wish the sib titles stayed on a bit longer, still reading them when they go of, it is worth a watch.
Ok so I was late to the Smart TV party and had been getting more and more bored by Terrestrial TV.On diagnosis thought I'd need to occupy myself so bought a Smart TV.... OMG it's like an entertainment explosion in my living room
I subscribe to Netflix and BFI player because I love foreign films.
Have watched " Blackberry, Blackberry, Blackbird" and "Vermiglio" on BFI both fab.Netflix love anything Nordic noir "secrets we keep," the forest, the glass dome, the chestnut man, as well as breaking bad etc.
Yes I'm hooked just hate the 2.5ft screen in the living room !!
Pepperpot I love this! I have always been a huge tv watcher, and love that you have dipped your toes into the world of smart tv. I watch a huge variety of tv programmes, I’m a well known soap addict, with Eastenders being my favourite, my step mum was an extra on Eastenders and we would often see her popping up in the Queen Vic. We recently downloaded paramount + which has been great for all of my cowboy films, including the new Yellowstone series, but I am at the moment watching the series of Vikings on Netflix. So much to chose from!
