I spend a lot of time indoors, in front of the tv. I am a bit of a soap addict, with Eastenders being my favourite. But I am always looking for new things to watch, so thought I would start a thread to see what you have been watching, any good recommendations that might interest anyone.
This week I have been watching this city’s ours. It centres around a crime boss played by Sean Bean, who wants to retire and there is a struggle with the gang members as to who is going to take over the “business”. It is interesting to watch where people’s priorities lie, between money, and family.
Craig has been watching this city’s ours too and said it is very good. I like blue lights (BBC) very good police drama set in Belfast.
For a bit of light fun- Rival ( Disney +). It is from Jilly Cooper ‘s book so quite fun and an eighties revival. Warning, do not watch with your children or immediate family for embarrassment.
Recently watched Asura ( Netflix) a Japanese short TV series about lives of 4 sisters in 80/90s Japan. Well acted, and just day to day life of being a woman in Japan.
Oh yes I like the repair shop. What they can repair is amazing, but I like the stories behind the item as well. Have you watched George Clarkes amazing spaces, that’s an interesting watch.
Last night we watched the con mum on Netflix. It is about a British michelin starred chef, who was adopted as a baby and always wondered about his biological mum. Enter the “mum” who contacted him via email. She is a wealthy 85 year old, who has lots of companies and millions of pounds in the bank. She has contacted her son at this point because she is dying from a brain tumour, and wants to leave her fortune to her son. I won’t give the story away too much, but definitely worth a watch.
Some wicked people aren't there. My mind boggles at times. I first got into true crime when I was 19ish. I was interested in the psychology of it all because one of my sisters was mindlessly murder while on a picnic. After all these years it all still boggles the mind.
So I turn to art and comedy. My degree at uni I did in my 40s was art history and archaeology so that fascinates me too.
Like u the repair shop is good. It covers amazing stories but also conserving things...they are all so talented...
Well, enough of my babble, sat here trying to decide what to do with my day ..it's going to be a hot one again.
Think it's maybe basics, vacuum, quick loo rinse, wash breakfast pots...then rest, maybe a small walk...
I hope u have a wonderful day...be kind to yourself
Hugs
Good morning, we are watching the final episode of Yellowstone. I am sad its the last series as have enjoyed it. Dont watch a lot of TV. Never seem to watch the normal channels as always watching series on netflix or amazon. I am so sorry to hear about your sister Fleabane it is so heartbreaking losing a loved one. My heart sister died of cancer at the age of 26. It is certainly not something you get over. She used to call me Leelaloo (hence my name) she said to me Leelaloo life goes on. Yes it does but not the same.

Awww what a lovely tribute to ur sister...I bet u really miss her.
It was my dad's sister who was murdered and I was only 4 so no recollection. Just family and newspaper stories.
But I know how u feel about loss. I lost my eldest brother, I adored him...I still talk to his photo each morning. .
And yes.. life does go on...and memories make us smile...
Hugs
Leelaloo sorry to hear about your sister passing so young. You are right you never get over the loss of a loved one.
I have watched Yellowstone, and then 1883 and 1923 which shows how the Dutton family came to Yellowstone. I believe they are now making 1944 which will be interesting to watch how the next generation faired.
