I spend a lot of time indoors, in front of the tv. I am a bit of a soap addict, with Eastenders being my favourite. But I am always looking for new things to watch, so thought I would start a thread to see what you have been watching, any good recommendations that might interest anyone.
Hi, I recorded Code of Silence and just watched the first one last night.
I agree with Ellie, the subtitles should be on screen a bit longer and a bit bigger. I’m ok but my husband is struggling, so I had to read them out!
Love Annette x
Code of Silence sounds good , will watch
Recently I’ve really enjoyed This City is Ours
Watching Mobland at the moment - not sure if I’m enjoying it or not !!
A friend has recommended The Four Seasons as an easy and entertaining watch. I don’t watch much TV but always like to have something on the go
L1964 we are watching mobland as well. It is a bit extreme, this Sundays episode was a very hard watch, but like you, I think I am enjoying it. I think I preferred this city is ours.
We are watching 1823 or something like that , the spin off from Yellowstone. Someone on here recommended it. Watched two and it is so good so far.
Lee x
I think that was me. It is the best of the Yellowstone programmes in my opinion. It explains how Yellowstone came about, and why it ended the way it did. Hope you enjoy x
Hi Chelle well I finished the 1883 series last night. It was brilliant but so sad at end. Going to watch the next one now. Thank you for the recommendation.
Lee 2x
There are 2 series of 1923 that follow. I much preferred the first series of 1923, the 2nd one went a little bit too far with the way they treated women (I won’t go into detail but I had to fast forward a few bits). They are apparently now making one based in the 1940’s which will be good.
This weekend we have been watching 4 seasons on Netflix. It’s about 3 couples who have been friends for many years, who holiday together every season, but this becomes difficult when one man decides to leave his wife after 25 years marriage. It is a very funny series, but also very sad at the same time.
