I feel a bit confused i have a diagnosis of incurable cervical cancer, the cancer had been spread to lymph and mentioned bone. They told me it had shrunk considerably and i had hadregular scans since Febuary. I have now been told they will only scan if i get symptoms, this has worried me as i thought i would need regular scans. Is this right ? How will i lnow if there are any changes?
Hi Dreamwomen,
It is confusing. I was also told that at this stage I wouldn't need so many scans. It can be very stressful and less useful. If I'm feeling ok & bloods are ok no need, and if the scan is worse but I feel ok, no point. It's not going to change the treatment.Do tell them that you're worried though, wouldn't it be great if we could just leave that to the experts. xx
