1. I'm just about to head off on a weekend with my eldest daughter (10) for a mothers and daughters activity weekend. It's raining but the wellies are packed! Hoping I survive!
2. Head a tiny 3 week old baby this morning - gorgeous remembering new life - so small and perfect!
3. Had a delivery of some amazing biscuits from a friend - special.
Have a good weekend all, despite all the hard.

Went to my eldest's easter assembly at the school.
Bought myself a cracking new pair of trainers.
When I picked my youngest up from nursery he ran full speed at me with the biggest smile on his face for a big cuddle.
Continuing the egg theme, I made a lovely lemon drizzle cake with eggs from my neighbours hens. They were so fresh
I had a makeover with a professional make up artist courtesy of the charity Ellie’s Friends. I learned a lot and looked great by the end.
The sun shone while I took a walk while my daughter was at her English tutor.

Had a lesion removed from my lip - everyone (who matters) thinks it's benign so even though sore at the moment, I'm hopeful I won't look like a witch anymore once healed.
I have been diagnosed with sleep apnea which is horrifying but I'm assured very easy to treat and will make a huge different to the quality of my life - it has come on very quickly with my surgical menopause and my husband has been concerned about my stopping breathing at night so hopefully this will solve a few issues.
It's sunny and warm in the garden and what a difference that makes - hope you're all able to enjoy a little bit of the warmth from it this weekend.

Oh and Daloni - so chuffed you have an electric bike - I love mine, it has given me so much independance back and makes me feel alive on it. It's not my car and I can't go everywhere on it, but it's the best present I've ever had. Enjoy!
Hi Clare Gobaith
ooh! That’s a day and a half. Sleep apnoea can make you feel really tired, I’m told.
My three good things
1. I rode my electric bike into town. Ok it’s 1km but a lot of it is uphill. The motor made mincemeat of the hills. Big smile on my face.
2. I met my sister at one of the local national trust gardens and wandered slowly in the sunshine. There were butterflies flitting among the wild flowers. And views. Glorious views.
3. A friend took me to see Mark Thomas’s show about the NHS. Good show.
Hmmm. That was a busy day. I suspect tomorrow will be a sofa day.

Hi Daloni
I see you have an electric bike, I was loaned one once by a lovely lady who runs an outdoor pursuits company in a local National Trust park in the Mourne Mountains. I was there using one of her kayaks on a large lake.
She very kindly loaned me it for half an hour and it was so easy to go uphill, I couldn't have managed otherwise. I'm just wondering if there are any issues with driving license, I forgot to ask her.

Hi Trish
I am the same - I just can’t manage the hills anymore. I love cycling. In my 20s I regularly cycled 60 miles a week and did some long road trips. London to Brighton, Reading to Plymouth, up the west coast of Ireland and a trip to the Andes in Ecuador. But chemo has robbed my strength. I did get back on my bike after the first chemo but I haven’t had the strength since 2016.
So the e bike is an absolute joy. As you know, you do have to push the pedals but the motor kicks in to help. It makes pushing off easy and going uphill feel like going along the fiat. I live in the North Diwns and there’s a hill in every direction. I don’t think I’ll be doing road trips again but now, on my good days, I can cycle into town for a pint of milk or just for the joy of it.
To answer your question. No there is no need for a licence of any kind or insurance. I’d recommend a good lock as the e bikes are very desirable. They are not cheap, mind you. I got a step-through bike so I don’t need to swing my leg over the saddle. It came from eBay and was pretty much brand new but even so cost £550. The same model retails new for £850.

My three good things from today.
1. I made two pairs of trousers for my girls. Whacky African fabric in purple, green and teal and a simple pyjama pattern so no zips or buttons or tucks
2. I made lasagne at the weekend and made a big load of bolognese to have later in the week. So an easy supper this evening.
3. My big girl suggested a walk! Unheard of. It was a beautiful cold evening and we saw deer in the park.

Daloni I love the idea of wacky African fabric pants!
After reading most of the posts on the "incorrigibles" of the last two days, I feel a bit guilty writing of my 3 good things, yet feel it a good discipline...so
Son and family left early morn
1) Spent morn setting house to rights.
What happened to Spring?
2) Thank heavens for a cozy fire, hot tea and a good book!
3) Had a long restoring sleep in the late afternoon.
Hi
Yes I know what you mean about feeling guilty when writing three good things after reading about the tough times people here are going through. I’m sure it’s neither helpful nor useful though.
I had a sofa day today so very quiet and my three good thins were
1 Enjoying the view of my garden with the spring flowers and visiting birds
2. Feeling grateful I can afford to have the heating on
3. The company of a friend who came for coffee and then my big girl who was very affectionate and made me feel loved
Yes, I often say that. We are so lucky that we don’t have to worry about turning the heating up if we need it
