1. I'm just about to head off on a weekend with my eldest daughter (10) for a mothers and daughters activity weekend. It's raining but the wellies are packed! Hoping I survive!

2. Head a tiny 3 week old baby this morning - gorgeous remembering new life - so small and perfect!

3. Had a delivery of some amazing biscuits from a friend - special.

Have a good weekend all, despite all the hard.

  • Yeh, a couple of friends have given each other syphilis and ecoli before. Lol. It's how I found out about them!

And yes, just got off the phone from the complaints folks who were following up. They entirely agreed with me that they failed in their communication, but he isn't sure if anything will change. Lol. But he'll feedback my comments to his managers anyways. But the fault is apparently all fixed. So fingers crossed.

    Hi

is the person to speak to about wigs, hair, magnetic eyelashes and stencils, she took us to a shop in Leeds that I've certainly not seen anywhere else.

So sorry to hear your cruise is cancelled, you must be very disappointed. I'm not going to make the meet up after all, since discovering that the plan is to try more IV chemo my husband and I booked a week in Lanzarote before a brain scan on 23rd Nov followed by a flurry of appointments.

Look forward to hearing from you xx

    1. Sixth form viewings with my younger daughter. We saw two schools she might like to move on to. It was great to see her asking the questions and approaching the students for their views.

    2. It was a lovely sunny autumn day in Kent. The beech trees look wonderful, all clothed in gold.

    3. I saw my niece’s new house. She got back from honeymoon at the weekend. She and her new husband completed the house purchase while they were away and moved in today. All grown up now!

  • Hi all,

    1. The cancer in my body is in remission! No evidence of disease in all the areas I was riddled. Pembrolizumab has worked a treat (despite being told it was unlikely to work).

    2. My brain tumour is now a pathetic 8mm and is shrinking very well. I have the green light to reapply for my driving licence as over a year since I had symptoms. New treatments don't fit with the DVLA current guidelines so it's a punt.

    3. My 7 year old took a deep breath and said "mummy, I can't imagine life without you so I'm so pleased you're staying". Heart melted. Happy tears for today I claim this - I'm better than I have been for years and I have an extended future. I still have treatment and side effects but I have some respite now too. I know how fortunate I am in this, I wish it were the same for us all.

I know you'll all rejoice with me - I'm not there yet but to hear the dr say we would consider your body to be in remission was like the most precious gift and one I never experienced the first time around with standard treatment - they were never been able to shift it with conventional treatment.

I can now be around longer to see my children navigate some more milestones. Wouldn't swap that for gold.

    My dear Claire

It feels like a miracle! I am rejoicing for and with you. Imagine being your doctor and able to tell you news like this. It must be almost as amazing as hearing it.

With all my best wishes for a million more milestones
