1. I'm just about to head off on a weekend with my eldest daughter (10) for a mothers and daughters activity weekend. It's raining but the wellies are packed! Hoping I survive!

2. Head a tiny 3 week old baby this morning - gorgeous remembering new life - so small and perfect!

3. Had a delivery of some amazing biscuits from a friend - special.

Have a good weekend all, despite all the hard.

    1. Dinner with my neighbours.

    2. A friend and I went to a quilt show at the lovely Lullingstone Castle. Awesome quilts, beautiful garden too. And cake.

    3. My younger daughter held a party last night. I had 20 15-year-olds dancing in a gazebo in the garden. She planned and organised it extremely well, had a lot of fun and was u bright and early to clear up. She’s a star

Lovely lunch with two very best friends

Nice walk in a country park with my husband

Met a man who collects bricks and knows all about the history of brick making. I love a harmless eccentric.

    Hi everyone

My 3 from the last couple of days

I spent 2 hours coaching my lovely 17 year old neice on interview techniques (my job in a former life). She had zero confidence and was struggling. She got the job! Yay.

I spent a fantastic weekend with my OH in Surrey doing a hobby we haven't done for ages (very mysterious and no we are not swingers lol)

The surgeon has decided my cord compression isn't as bad as 1st feared and we can hang fire on surgery for the time being.

    Love to all.

    Hello all,

Reading everyone's good things is definitely a good thing.

Yes, SussexO sometimes a good cry is a good thing. The hope of a better tomorrow always a good thing.

Daloni, I also saw a quilt show on Sunday afternoon, but not at a great house or castle but a small local one in the school. In years past I have shown a quilt occasionally.

Enjoyed imagining Maybug's man who collects bricks and knows all about them.

Good news Kirky68, of your daughter's job and of the surgeon's decision concerning the compression.

    Now, 3 for today:

    1) Two dark purplish, almost chocolate coloured lillie's in a nearby garden. Seen on a short walk.

    2) Still incredibly relieved at biopsy results!! I feel light.

    3) A  long warm day with butterflies and occasionally sun in the garden.

You should be so proud Daloni of the way your girls are. From the skills you have taught them to the confidence you are building in them. For a 15 year old to organise her own party is amazing. Well done to her and you.

    1. I said I’d feel better today!! Tomorrow I’ll feel even better.

    2. I had the last of the ‘contracted’ appointments for the Trial today. It was only bloods and short talk with my favourite Doctor but I feel I have fulfilled my part of it all now. She will phone me with MRI/CT results (appts Friday) at the end of next week when they have discussed them at meetings as I can’t take the journey there not knowing what they’re going to say. I prefer it in my own space.

    3. Actually tasted my dinner tonight without feeling nausea afterwards.

I’m replying to my own post as I don’t know any other way to add my three good things for today! I hope everyone has survived the heat.

    1. I can actually walk around the garden for more than a few minutes at a time. It’s the first time this year that I’ve really been able to do that and now I find I can actually enjoy the sun! My summer starts now!

    2. I had my hair shorn today (home hairdresser not hot salon!) Strangely it’s probably shorter than yours Daloni! Really really short! But I feel free. I’m now ready for when I can get away on holiday or get to the beach for a swim. I am so longing for that.

    3. I’m back driving again which also gives me freedom and makes that swim nearer.

  • Hi SussexO, Great you can drive again! Enjoy that yearned for swim when it comes!

    Love Annette x

    Hi

I am so happy to hear how you are improving. I haven’t posted my three good things lately as I’ve been feeling rough, culminating in a trip to A&E last night instead of to the airport to go on holiday. Details in another post.

So my three good things are by way of trying to fund the gratitude that I know helps me stay in a positive place.

1 Listening to the moaning in the A&E waiting room made me realise how hard it must be to work there and grateful for the staff and their ability to remain kind and compassionate

2 I am not in Estonia trying to navigate a foreign healthcare system with frantically worried children alongside

3 The heat seems to be abating. It was 37 degrees in Kent yesterday

    xx

Oh Daloni I am so sorry to hear this. That’s so unfair when you have been through so much. I hope at least you are feeling better now.

    Sending you lots of love.

    XX.
