1. I'm just about to head off on a weekend with my eldest daughter (10) for a mothers and daughters activity weekend. It's raining but the wellies are packed! Hoping I survive!
2. Head a tiny 3 week old baby this morning - gorgeous remembering new life - so small and perfect!
3. Had a delivery of some amazing biscuits from a friend - special.
Have a good weekend all, despite all the hard.

Todays 3, 1. had a lovely weekend at our friends in Cumbria
2. lots of wild flowers starting to bloom from some free seeds from Kew, will attract lots of bees n butterflies.
3. looking forward to this weekend in the caravan with family at York Meadows.
feel very lucky to be able to get out and about thanks to my mobility scooter. Lynn 2.xx
Maybug, isn't it a relief to have a"normal" conversation. My sewing group is good because they never ask how one is, only exclaim that they are happy to see one. We are mostly all rather elderly. One is allowed to talk of one's difficulties, but no one pries.
Lynne2 yes, getting out can make all the difference to one'mental health.
Daloni, completing 13 dressing gowns surely called for a victory dance round the room.….or a humming of Handel's hallelujah chorus, if too tired to dance.
Three for today:
1)Tea, banana walnut cakes, and 2 hour conversation with3friends at 4rth friend's home.
2) The pleasure of stroking her dog's silky head (she'd laid it on my knee with pleading eyes upturned hoping for banana cake)
,3) A very good 2 hour sleep afterward.
Thank you Daloni
1. i had two reactions to the Carbo but managed it all in the end and the avelumab went smoothly. 12 hour day though so tired. Only ATR inhibitor drug tomorrow!
2. Have been told I can have the PICC line removed tomorrow. Such good news.
3. Had lovely day talking with my eldest who took me today. So much easier to talk without children around.

It’s so good to read your good things as I sit in my garden taking in the cool evening air. Sharing the ability to feel grateful despite the limitations we all with has become very important to me. So thank you.
Mine today
1. I took a train trip to see an old friend who lives in a beautiful house by the sea. We had a splendid time and I slept nearly the whole way home
2. Looking at the moon rise in my garden. The cats have surrounded me. I think they think it’s my bedtime
3. I am looking forward to my girls returning from a Duke of Edinburgh award expedition. One as a participant and the other as an assessor. They’ll have plenty to tell me
MsLin I agree, it’s good to have ‘safe spaces’ where you don’t talk about your illness, even if people know about it.
What a lovely day you’ve had Daloni. I’m sure you slept well.
1. I finished the 6th cycle and whatever the results I feel I have accomplished something and wasn’t beaten by it.
2. I feel free again. I did have my PICC line removed today. Such a simple thing makes all the difference. With it in it was a constant reminder of my tie to the hospital. Now I can enjoy two weeks breaks between maintenance treatments without that reminder.
3. Today my eldest granddaughter received the highest achievement award for geography in her year group. Well deserved she works really hard.
Woo hoo! Chemo done! PICC line out! A whole two weeks between appointments! You will hardly know yourself .
I have had a lovely day today.
1. A river swim with a friend. There were so many dragonflies including one that I’ve since identified as a Scarce Chaser. There were two males, marked by a pale blue patch in their bodies and blue eyes, sunning themselves on the riverbank
2. A hot sausage roll for lunch
3. My girls are home from their expedition. Lots to tell me. Let the laundry begin....
xx
Love the picture of two dragonflies sunning themselves on the bank. Such a name: Scarce Chaser. Sounds dashing.
Reading some of the recent posts by my fellow incurables, it seems almost criminal to admit to having three good things!
But here they are:
1) Biopsy negative. Gynaecologic Oncologist says no reason to see me again.
2) Drive in country as celebratory treat. Saw beautiful swathes of cut hay and some fields of yellow rapeseed canola.
3) The neighbours' Lime is blooming and fragrance drifting across to my garden where I sit inhaling, inhaling.
Hi
That is good news about your biopsy. Is it a weight off your mind?
My three good things from yesterday
1. Rain! My goodness did the garden need it
2. Brunch with my younger daughter
3. Watching James Acaster on Netflix. He’s very funny
1. When I read your message I gasped about your biopsy Ms Lin. I so needed some good news so that’s my first good thing for many days.
2. A cry with my eldest helped.
3. I know tomorrow I’ll feel better.
