Are you having trouble sleeping?

Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.

“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

  • Good morning Karen, and welcome to the group Blush

Sorry about you having a poor sleep, and I hope your pain can get under control, but fingers crossed you'll be able to conquer both.

Sending you big hugs sweetheart xxx

  • It's good to hear that you're feeling more positive and I'm glad that speaking to your GP has helped.

  • Hi everyone,

I'm looking to connect with anyone who has faced advanced lung cancer, especially cases where doctors said chemotherapy would no longer be effective and there was fluid in the lungs and around the heart. I'm trying to understand if anyone has been in a similar situation and found a treatment or approach that helped. Any advice or experiences would be deeply appreciated.

Thank you so much for sharing.

  • Hi there Kate and a very warm welcome to our group.

I'm sorry you've found yourself on the forums, but joining the lung cancer forum would be a good move as you'll find others there who'll be able to give more specific advice. I don't know how to give the link to it, but when a community champion sees your post they'll be able to do the honours.

Post here whenever you feel like it though, for a chat or if you're awake late and can't sleep. Sending you good luck and hugs xxx
