Are you having trouble sleeping?
Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.
“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

Anyone awake?
I know for some people this is normal hours but I've always been a lark rather than an owl. I got diagnosed on Friday with ovarian cancer and didn't sleep last night. Looks like the same is happening tonight.
Somehow I've got to get myself to Wednesday in one piece where I start chemo and some of my symptoms should be relieved.
Good morning Thecatlovesme, and a very warm welcome to our group
Aw, I'm really sorry your circumstances have brought you here my lovely, but fingers crossed after Wednesday's treatment starts, you'll be able to ditch the night owl habits. In the meantime, if you can't sleep, there's a few of us owls usually hanging around for a chat.
I like your username and funnily enough, when your post came through, I was watching the daily dose of cats on YouTube as I love them and their crazy antics. I wish we could have one or two xxx
Thanks Gill H. There's such a lot going on at the moment and it's taken ages to get to this point. I just feel like my body's doing it's own things rather than what it should be doing.
My cat spent a good chunk of this morning curled up on my lap which was lovely. She's still bonkers despite being 10.
Hi , I'm awake , we are all here to support eachother, good luck with everything, since joining this group it's helped me a lot and I've only been part of it a few days , the not being able to sleep is the worst
Hi again sweetheart. Aye, it's a long road to travel, but keep going and do what your team advises, and you'll reach your goal. That's what we're all aiming for, fingers crossed.
That's lovely to hear about your kitty and I'm sure she makes you feel calm and relaxed, which is great. Ten is a good age, but my daughter's eldest rescue cat has been aged over twenty by his vets. Being a former street cat it was difficult to determine his exact age, but they went by his teeth... what's left of them. He's absolutely gorgeous and we love him, even though he's totally blind, the little love xxx
Thanks Leocat. My teenagers are awake and gaming - this time of night is normality to them and then of course they sleep in until 2!
