Are you having trouble sleeping?
Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.
“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

Hi Helen
I'm hoping everyone here will have a better year too, as most certainly need a break from all the rotten stuff. We've had a quiet one, but OH has been prone to many tears, probably a mix of trying to be jolly and being depressed over everything that's happened. I'll keep trying to get him back on track as much as I can.
I love Scouser's SOH, so much so that I often look on the Liverpool fans' forum. The comments made when a game's gone badly are unintentionally hilarious, and have me howling with laughter. Far better than the TV pundits can manage. We play them today at Anfield, and I'm not expecting a win but will deffo look on the forum after, if only for a good belly laugh to cheer me up!
I reckon a Scouse girl group here would be a hit, as you've got a rich heritage from your city. The Beatles anyone? Hugs queen xxx
Hoping the walk helped Lesley All good luck with your treatment tomorrow sweetheart xxx
Hello gill big hugs thanks for welcoming me. My best advice to you fill for sleeping knowing you got cancer is to stay calm breath calmly and stay focused all the nice happy things you want to do the next day.my treatment finished now but my advice helped me and many others with all different situations and issues.xx.
Is that me too?. Sending hugs back. Happy New year. X
Hey gill I had treatment radiotherapy treatment and chemotherapy tablets for six or 8 weeks for annual and bowel cancer . Now I'm recovering for last 4 months or more. My periods have stopped im 45 have my menopause started as I have had many hot flushes?.xx
Hi again Katie, but I'm not the patient here, it's my OH that got hit with cancer but as his sole carer I've also been affected and especially with sleeping. So I'll take your sound advice on board. Oddly enough OH has had no issues with sleep, and could nod off on a washing line! When he had radiotherapy treatment, we were told he'd probably get fatigue. Well, I could hardly tell the difference as he's always kipped through the day. In fact, he only got up a little while ago, as our football team is on TV later and he won't want to miss a second of that. Neither will I though, as we're both Leeds mad.
Are you into sports at all hon? xxx
