Are you having trouble sleeping?
Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.
“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

Thanks Lynne, I actually nodded off while reading a Reddit forum in the night. Hope that you got some rest too.
Thank you for your warm welcome. I am still navigating this weird cancer journey, and trying to recover from the post-surgery blues. Life is strange at the moment, this will be my first Xmas alone after raising 3 kids. Hope you are in a good place.
Good morning Britething
Aw, sorry to hear you're feeling a bit down but I hope your recovery from surgery is going well my love. The post cancer journey is indeed a difficult one, like walking through a minefield and not knowing what you might tread on next. A challenge, and no mistake.
Well done on raising three kids though, as that can be a challenge too; I raised two, both in their 40s now, so they spend Christmas with their own partners which I'm fine with as we do the same. I was alone last year as my OH was in hospital throughout the festive season, so someone else cooked his Christmas dinner which he enjoyed, thankfully.
We're in a better place right now thanks, but same as yourself, a stranger one. I saw you nodded off reading a Reddit forum, as I sometimes do, but they can be addictive and have the opposite effect! Well at least you got some sleep and I hope you have a good day sweetheart. Sending hugs xxx
I too fell asleep last night and had a sleep in

Hi daley, and a warm welcome to our group of sometimes nocturnal beings
I love sheep, but what's aml if you don't mind explaining. I'm familiar with a stoma, as my OH has one in his neck. The real expert here is Sarah, as she has two. She's our fabulous Community Champ, and very knowledgeable.
Anyway, if you're awake in the wee hours, there's usually some night owls flitting about. Big hugs xxx
