Are you having trouble sleeping?
Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.
“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

Good evening
We're now parked up on an industrial estate outside Alde Heating as the motorhome is booked in at 8:30 tomorrow for the heating to be serviced. Not the most picturesque place, that's for sure.
I slept better last night and I've felt better today but not completely cured yet.
Hopefully you're all busy with life in general.
H
Evening Helen.
That's better news about you feeling more like yourself, but hopefully you'll be fully back to normal soon
The industrial estate is probably a sight to behold but where will you hang out when the MH gets serviced? Or will you be onboard, serving up cuppas to overall clad geezers? Just being nosey here hon xxx
Hi Gill
I had another lousy night and woke up feeling rotten again this morning
We left the motorhome at Alde and walked to a nearby service area with a Greg's where we had a latte and a bacon roll each. Then we went back and sat in their very nice waiting room that had a kitchen some would envy where we could make drinks.
We drove home this afternoon and the house is freezing so we've got extra heating on.
Did you all have a night off?
H
I often have trouble sleeping i find i drop off quick but wake after a hour i am going through my second cancer diagnosis first was bowel now I have a tumor in my lung operation scheduled for Monday after been cancelled last Tuesday
Sorry to hear of your second diagnosis after going through bowel cancer. Best wishes for your operation.
H
Hi Helen.
Are you still under the weather lass? Hope not but you've got the motorhome sorted at least. And you've had a mini break at Alde with a luxury kitchen thrown in - living la Vida loca to the max.
I fell asleep really early last night, definitely before midnight, but didn't feel any better for it. Lots of snow in north Yorkshire but nowhere near us in the west, but very cold. You keep yourself warm lovely, and you might feel better tomorrow xxx
Evening Kevin and a very warm welcome to our group, even though it's freezing outside.
So sorry to hear you're going through this again but sending you the best of luck for Monday and fingers crossed your op will go ahead this time.
Drop in anytime for a chat and a virtual cuppa, although the cold snap could be responsible for some of us seasoned night owls dozing off earlier than usual. Sending you hugs xxx
