My husband - Chris - died on the 2nd May 2009 because he had anal cancer. He knew he was going and we spoke about lots and lots of things before he died. That is why I am just not prepared for the huge amount of guilt I feel now. I feel guilty that the world hasn't stopped turning round even though he has died. I feel like everything should stop as a mark of respect. I also feel very guilty that he had to be so ill he had to die. What a cruel cruel thing it is to make someone so ill their body just stops working. I wasn't ready for him to go. I really really hope these are normal feelings because I must hang on to my sanity for the sake of my 3 children. I have never known sadness like I feel right now. I can't believe that I will not hear his voice or feel his touch again. We were married for almost 32 years and I have known Chris for 34 years - since I was 16. What happens now? Ailsa

Hi - I've been watching too!!!  I need an early night after not being able to sleep in this morning so going to get ready and then settle down to watch the skate off.  Gayle I am glad Ewan's birthday celebration went well but sorry it made you cry.  I suppose that is what we should expect though isn't it.  Take care of yourself.  Lynne well done with the car boot and making dinner today.  I have just been to my Mum & Dad's for my dinner.  Patricia I hope you have an okay night as well.  As you don't have to be in work again until Wednesday try not to think about it and find something nicer to do with yourself for a few days.  Thinking of you.  ((((((hugs))))))s to everyone.  Ailsa xxx

    Hi everyone

As Gayle said, my god you guys can talk - I went back five pages thinking that would be enough ...... but Oh No .... it was nearer ten.  And as a consequence I can't reply to everyone's posts cos I can't remember a thing!!

I notice that NO ONE has told me exactly where they live so I can't put you all on my map which I HAVE put up on the wall by my computer so come on then ....... TELL ME WHERE YOU ARE!!

Had a lovely weekend with mum, dad and Boy and the sun shone the whole time.  Not too much shopping, a little for mum and dad (he is a NIGHTMARE he always thinks thing are too expensive and wont' spend money on himself - quite happy to spend on us, just not him!)

Bitty tearful today over luch cos we were remembering weekends away with Ed, poor mum and dad still think that tears mean I am sad and they shouldn't have said whatever it was that set me off, but it isn't like that at all, I love talking and reminising, and with that comes tears.  I will email dad and try to explain that so they don't worry!!)  Train back I jsut kept my Ipod on and looked out the window.  Funny how I can cope with the everyday stuff and even with the cr*p - it is the good sutff that makes me tearful!

Anyway - I am glad that some of you have obviously had a good weekend and are planning for next weekend - I think I get in about 2 or 2.30 ish.  If you are all already at the hotel then I will just jump in a taxi and run in to the hotel and hug you all.  I am not going to bring any extra clothes as it appears that you guys will have enough to dress the whole of Newcastle!!!!

I SO missed being able to catch up with everyone this weekend.

Massive hugs and love to everyone.

Judes xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx (more than normal cos I was away)

Oh and PS - Rosemary ........ .step away from the red wine ...... (although I am just off to pour myself a large G&T)

Hi everyone.  I've been to my pilates again.  I think it is starting to pay dividends.  I'm sure my back isn't as bad as it was although it is very stiff in the morning.

Judi I always feel as though my mum & dad don't understand my tears either.  Some tears are for the best and not to be brushed away.  For your map - I live in Barnsley, South Yorkshire.  Not a million miles from Lynne & Patricia.  You will find it near Sheffield.  We will be watching out for you at about 2pm on Saturday.

Lynne enjoy your week off.  I would love a week off right now just pottering.  I was sitting on Chris's bench yesterday as well.  It was so nice to have the sun on my back.  I could have sat there all day.  I take a little cushion so my bum doesn't freeze!!!  I seriously am planning on taking small picnic's through there when the weather is better.  A better road is being built that will take me to the cemetery so when it is finished I will be riding my bike through there with my picnic in the basket.  What do you reckon - small bottle of wine as well!  Can I get done for being drunk in charge of a push bike?  They will have to catch me first.  Hee hee - only kidding.

You sound like you are getting all ready as well Fiona.  My mum mentioned last night that we might need to book the restaurant because it is mother's day the next day - does anyone think she is right?

Sue you are so right - why does it always seem to get to Sunday so quickly at the weekend?

Right I am going to check out our hotel and then get off to bed.  Take care everyone.  Ailsa xxx
