My husband - Chris - died on the 2nd May 2009 because he had anal cancer. He knew he was going and we spoke about lots and lots of things before he died. That is why I am just not prepared for the huge amount of guilt I feel now. I feel guilty that the world hasn't stopped turning round even though he has died. I feel like everything should stop as a mark of respect. I also feel very guilty that he had to be so ill he had to die. What a cruel cruel thing it is to make someone so ill their body just stops working. I wasn't ready for him to go. I really really hope these are normal feelings because I must hang on to my sanity for the sake of my 3 children. I have never known sadness like I feel right now. I can't believe that I will not hear his voice or feel his touch again. We were married for almost 32 years and I have known Chris for 34 years - since I was 16. What happens now? Ailsa

    Evening Ladies,

Well I have finally packed!!!  I am exhausted but it is done.  I will do my big clean next weekend and then the day before I move I can finish off packing up the last things.  Whew - I will be moaning shortly about unpacking them all lol!!!

I had a rubbish night last night as I just felt so emotional and so lonely.  I was watching X Factor and using the laptop and then just started feeling sorry myself.  My friends last night were Mr TV and Mr Laptop and if felt rubbish.  Although I have loads of friends and family I just want to be with Wully on a Saturday night.  Feel a bit better tonight but I think that is because it is a new week tomorrow.  I hate weekends!

Ailsa, glad you had a great time out shopping - its sounded lots of fun and I am sure just the tonic you were needing.  I know what you mean about ticking boxes and hopefully you will feel a bit better by the end of November when it is all in place.

Helen - getting too old for boozy nights lol (luckily you can't hit me through a computer hee hee!).  Glad you had a nice time.

Hello to everyone else and hope you have a good week.

    Gayle x

    morning, Lynne

Good luck with the phone call - if all else fails, ask for the MD; then threaten them with going to the press. It usually works a treat!

When my daughter had issues with the building society, she arrived at their offices first thing one morning and threatened to stay there all day and tell every customer about hr problem with them . after half an hour, when they realised she meant it, they sorted things out right away.

    Go for it, girlie!

Good luck from me too Lynne.  Sue, are you wandering round in your clean slippers looking at all your beautiful new floors?  Gayle - way to go - hope that you can have a few days off before it all starts again.

Pouring with rain here today, have been on Facebook, have written some e-mails, have been here, have rearranged photos and ornaments etc on shelves - do I need to do some ironing?  Not yet I think, there must me something else I can do first!

    Speak later - Judi xx

    Patricia

On my way as we speak (if only I could) I love wallpaper hanging because the results are so quick and you can see how it is going to look.  Have to admit though that I would have to be your apprentice - I was not allowed to be the actual 'hanger' - that was Ed the Perfectionist's job!!  I got to be the one standing at the bottom of the ladder holding it away from the wall until he was happy with the position.  But I would love to come and help you.  Good luck and remember to always check that it is the right way up!!

    Love and hugs
