My husband - Chris - died on the 2nd May 2009 because he had anal cancer. He knew he was going and we spoke about lots and lots of things before he died. That is why I am just not prepared for the huge amount of guilt I feel now. I feel guilty that the world hasn't stopped turning round even though he has died. I feel like everything should stop as a mark of respect. I also feel very guilty that he had to be so ill he had to die. What a cruel cruel thing it is to make someone so ill their body just stops working. I wasn't ready for him to go. I really really hope these are normal feelings because I must hang on to my sanity for the sake of my 3 children. I have never known sadness like I feel right now. I can't believe that I will not hear his voice or feel his touch again. We were married for almost 32 years and I have known Chris for 34 years - since I was 16. What happens now? Ailsa

    Evening Ladies,

Sorry I have not been around but been pretty busy.  I move 2 weeks today so life is pretty hectic.  Everything seems to be in place although the people haven't signed yet for my house but I am not too worried - yet!  The boys have been at football camp every day this week as it is the school holidays here so they have had a great time and my friends are taking them to the safari park tomorrow so I will hopefully get more stuff done then.

I am doing okay although have my moments!  It was a bit emotional today when the boys were getting their certificates for their football.  The last football camp was Easter and the hospice brought Wully over to watch them.  I was watching all the happy families today with the dads there and felt bad for the boys not having a dad as they are very much boy boys and I am sure they miss that in their life and will feel it as they get older.  Not much I can do about it though so just have to get on with it.

Lynne, sorry to hear of your rotten week.  I hope your sister is okay and the guy got what was coming to him.  You should go to the complaints department as their treatment of you has been shocking.  I have more or less got all our paperwork sorted so luckily no real problems.

    Hope everyone else is well.

    Gayle xx

Not yet Lynne but hopefully get the majority of it done this weekend so that next weekend I can concentrate on cleaning.

I had to laugh today as Ewan stood up at his football class and announced "my mummy has packed up all my room".  Everyone started laughing as they probably didn't really understand what he was meaning and I was mortified lol!  Wee soul - he is sleeping in a room of boxes lol!

Helen, meant to say sorry you had such a bad day.  Some people just don't understand.  I suppose if they haven't walked in our shoes but I too have had lots of silly things and assumptions made.  I feel like screaming at them that it feels like just yesterday I lost my husband and even though we are months down the line it still doesn't feel much better.

Hello everyone.  Sorry - I am a bit late tonight.  There seem to be a few really stressful things going on here tonight.  I am sorry you are having such a problem with the bank still Lynne.  It is ridiculously insensitive of them keep you dangling like they are.  Keep strong though and you will get there in the end.

I love your photo on facebook Judi.  It is a shame you seem to have some small minded neighbours.  You can't let them worry you but that is easier said than done.  I am sorry to hear that you are having a hard time with one of your colleagues as well Helen.

You have done brilliantly getting as much packing done as you have Gayle.  i really don't know how you find all the energy.  Sounds like the boys are doing good.

Well I just wanted to check up on howeveryone was so I will get off and get some sleep.  Hopefully I will speak to all again tomorrow.  Take care.  Ailsa xxx

    Morning everyone

    Have a lovely day Lynne.

Judi I forgot to mention about your neighbours yesterday, forget half of what I`ve read!!!! I think we worry too much of`how we should act and be!` we know what our other halves would want for us, so never mind your neighbours - even if it was a man coming to visit!! What`s it got to do with them?? Carry on the good work xxx

Tidying up here this morning then 2nd gym appointment this afternoon. Haven`t been all week!! Then meeting a friend for a couple of drinks and hopefully home for X Factor. I`ve got into a rut of not going out the last couple of weekends so need to push myself a bit.

Nice to have Quill as a friend on facebook too, hope she enjoys France

    Morning all

Having spent the last couple of day so down, if I am honest I think a bit of wallowing in self pity, and not sleeping I had a bit of a Eureka moment when I started to laugh at myself because if 'people' were thinking stuff then - what on earth would they have being thinking a couple of months ago when 'George the Joiner' had a key and was letting himself in and out of the house to refit the kitchen!   So onwards and upwards.  Also, thanks to reading all about you guys I have AT LAST realised that even if I am out and about with friends and enjoying myself - I still know how much I love and miss Ed, and nothing will change that.  So my plan is to try and do exactly that.   Just recently a friend asked if I had thought of going travelling!  Where that idea came from I have no idea, but not too sure of what type of case I would have to have to fit two long-legged, lazy greyhounds in!! lol.

So enough of me.  Gayle I have a wonderul vision of the football class picturing your wee one sleeping on the floorboards surrounded by boxes.  Good luck for the next couple of weeks, you will be shattered but happy when you get to the new house.  Lynne, you keep at these banks/insurance - it doesn't matter if it is £5, you and Gordon paid for that security, it is yours by right.  Hateful that they can try and delay and wriggle out of these kind of things.

Helen - car alarms ... aaaarrrrggghhhh.  They drive you mad don't they, and I am not even sure that nowadays anyone actually ever thinks that a car is getting nicked, just that the damn alarm is faulty!

Ailsa - if today is 'outfit day' then I hope you find something gorgeous and have a giggle on the way trying stuff on.

Will have to post now, because I will need to re-read everyone's news before I can comment.

Hugs Patricia - was worried when I say a post from you at 4am, but then realised you were working nights.

Hi Judi, hope you`re feeling better today xxx

Your travelling sounds like a good idea, hope you can work it with the dogs.

Quiet on here, I ended up in the pub a bit longer than expected last night. A few of Paul and my friends were in there (it`s our local) so ended up staying for The Beatles tribute band!!! Suffering a bit today but good night.

    How`s everyone`s weekend been?
