My husband - Chris - died on the 2nd May 2009 because he had anal cancer. He knew he was going and we spoke about lots and lots of things before he died. That is why I am just not prepared for the huge amount of guilt I feel now. I feel guilty that the world hasn't stopped turning round even though he has died. I feel like everything should stop as a mark of respect. I also feel very guilty that he had to be so ill he had to die. What a cruel cruel thing it is to make someone so ill their body just stops working. I wasn't ready for him to go. I really really hope these are normal feelings because I must hang on to my sanity for the sake of my 3 children. I have never known sadness like I feel right now. I can't believe that I will not hear his voice or feel his touch again. We were married for almost 32 years and I have known Chris for 34 years - since I was 16. What happens now? Ailsa

    Hi Ladies,

Having trouble keeping up! Disappear for a day and there are pages to read! Sorry you had a bit of a weepy night Helen after your meal out. I hate how one minute we are up and then next rock bottom. I went to a candle party last night which was okay until someone got a call on their mobile and I felt really low. Very silly I know but Wully used to phone me loads like all couples and I felt quite sad that I wouldn't be getting that "checking on you" call. Never mind bought some lovely candles though. Then my sis stayed with me. The car company phoned me back to say they want to take the car away. I was really upset at the time but I am trying to take the emotion out of it. If I wanted to keep it I would have to pay £2000 more than it is worth and I just have to keep remembering that is wasting money for the boys. So I went out car shopping today with my sister. I was quite excited at the time but as the day went on it got worse. The first salesman was typical salesman being very pushy and quite rude to be honest. Think he just thought I was a stupid female. The last one of the day was okay but the car was £500 over my budget so I decided to sleep on it. Don't know whether I can face another day of it tomorrow though! Never mind I have decided on the car I want so just need to find the right one at the right price.

Up early tomorrow for Jamie's football and probably car shopping so I will head off for an early night.

Take care and hope your Sunday's are okay.

No i only had her till lunch time , the other 2 came this afternoon and after they gone thats when i went shopping and stuff , i've been on my own since then . I am fed up but i know all of the kids are coming tommorow , we're either having a bbq in the afternoon or i'm cooking lunch , depending on the weather . I'm also going to the music thing on monday so at least i've got something to look forward too , i just hate being on my own sat night ,We would either go out or make the effort to do something different on a sat , oh well i'd better get used to it .
