Hi all I'm new to this. Was diagnosed lung cancer 3 days before xmas. Have managed to keep myself together and soldier on. Am awaiting op to remove tumor. But I find all this waiting is the most hardest time of all. Anyone else the same?
Hi , I'm asking for advice and joining this forum and really don't want to ! My lovely gorgeous mum has been diagnosed with lung cancer before xmas . Had a bronchioscopy just after and also pet scan . She saw an oncologist on Wednesday and they said stage 3b but still waiting for results as to what treatment from Birmingham . First time I knew anything was wrong is when I went to the toilet and passed a lot of blood. I had no pain at this stage so had no idea what it could have been. Morning. I recently joined the group and have decided to add my story. I was diagnosed 26 Oct 17 with TNBC with activity in the lymph nodes. I started FEC-T 24 Nov but after 2 courses the lump had not shrunk. I was changed to T sooner at chemo3 but this was too strong my neutrophil count which was very low.
I just started a different cocktail of weekly Paclitaxol with Carboplatin to be added in every 3 weeks. I had both on Friday 26 Jan. I have felt well over the weekend.

Nurses in these places are just fantastic!!!! Full praise to all of them up and down the country having to sit and listen to our woes and worries and probably hearing the same thing every day!!

I was diagnosed last August 2017 when I got called back for another mammogram. Wasn’t unduly concerned and I had no lump that I could feel and thought it was probably just routine. DH went with me and we spent the best part of the morning at the Luton/Dunstable Breast Clinic. I cannot thank or praise these nurses and doctors there enough.
