So, my op is two weeks tomorrow, as far as I know. I have started my deep breathing exercises. Breathe in for three, hold for three, breathe out for six or more, repeat ten times. I have set my phone to go off every hour from 9am to 9pm so I don't forget. The exercises are to improve breathing for the op.

I've decided to totally spring clean do I won't need to worry when I first come out of hospital. My partner…

Why you should keep in touch with creditors. I am paying off some old debts from when I was ill a few years ago. Just as I got my head round being pencilled in for this Friday I got a call saying it won't happen and I'm booked in for the 7th October, two weeks later on the Saturday. They are booking the staff cos they don't normally work Saturday. I hope that 'weekend effect' is not true. Now I have nearly three weeks to get ready. I have put in for a Macmillan grant. I hope it comes through. It would make all the difference. …

Hi guys. I haven't been in for a bit. I've been trying to get a date for my op. The operations coordinator told me last week that I would be having the operation mid October. That's too long! My cancer is particularly aggressive. Besides, I've had the pre-op already and I've been given the tablets I have to take the night and morning before I go in, to prevent acid reflux during the op. I also have three appointments…
