Why you should keep in touch with creditors. I am paying off some old debts from when I was ill a few years ago. I have four with one debt collector, each at twenty pounds a month, £80 per month in all. With this bladder cancer thing I have had to miss the odd payment due to hospital travel expenses. I emailed them last week explaining why. They got back to me yesterday and said that they are suspending my payments for three months to give me breathing space then will arrange a more affordable payment scheme. Their name is Lowell Financial. I am deeply indebted to them, (if you'll forgive the pun).
