The age old question has risen its head now I start my recovery phase. The phlegm and mucus in throat has been lining and protecting the inside of my neck and throat during treatment, which has made it an elasticated and gooey substance. As I start to get better I have been told that this mucus/goo will break down more and that rather than swallowing it back down I should cough it up and spit it out. This makes sense…

With RT over I immediately go into the 'recovery phase' where I will overcome the side effects. Now having to go through the rigmarole of finding out who is going to top this up once I finish my daily trips to southampton. No one seems to want to take responsibility for this which is frustrating, I am not driving 2 hours + a day just to get a syringe filled and…

Well Christmas has come and gone, and considering no alcohol and no food I really enjoyed being at home with all the family. I have no hangover on a Boxing Day since living memory and am feeling better than the day before so things are looking up. As far as last weeks infection goes I have to admit it knocked me for six, the pain and sickness saw me in a really low place. Cancer had played one of his last cards and knocked…
