    Apologies for not blogging sooner but the recovery phase post radiotherapy has proved more erratic and unpredictable than actually having the treatment itself. Every time I was about to answer an improvement I would be hit for six as another side effect or infection would spring from nowhere no knock me back down again.     I can safely say I have not slept as much in a week as I have this past one. Must have been averaging over 16 hours a day as part of the recovery plan and this sees me in a much better place for the rest. Still waiting for the throat to acknowledge that I am supposed to be getting better and not passing much bar water (sips) by mouth still.     And I have slept for over 16 hours of it so nothing too much to report. Had another visitor yesterday's evening which allowed us to catch up with some things 'real world' but mainly just chewed the fat as to how long this recovery is taking.     Almost three weeks post my last RT and I can happily report that I feel over the worst of my pains and side effects. I still however await the eureka moment when I can hand on heart state that I am truly feeling better. Pain is being efficiently kept at bay by use of the long term syringe driver mechanism as is the anti sickness. Have now finished antibiotics so the meds ritual really just consists of a few various…
