The light draws closer

Less than one minute read time.
Apologies for not blogging sooner but the recovery phase post radiotherapy has proved more erratic and unpredictable than actually having the treatment itself. Every time I was about to answer an improvement I would be hit for six as another side effect or infection would spring from nowhere no knock me back down again. So with two short stays in hospital I am fortunately back home and this morning managed my first glut of water ( a welcome stage up from the sip stage). Got to get on solids know as recovery plan is about. 2 weeks behind scheduled plan. Am also feeling tired all the time and need to focus on getting up and about where I can. So keep you fingers crossed that this is the start of my anticipated recovery and no more hiccups come up along the way. I know a pint of cold lemon isn't the same as a pint of beer at 6 Nations time but it will be better than sipping water.

Glad to hear you are back home Dave.  Try to take it easy for a bit, unfortunately you can't always schedule a recovery.  You will get there, just remember to listen to your body!   You are doing really well, I don't think I was even up to sipping water at this stage.   Take care x
