    And so, into Week number 4 of treatment and I seem to have forgotten the normal monday morning panic of getting back into work after a weekend off, of having to quickly prioritise tasks for the week ahead against all the Monday morning fastballs, and having to rejig my programme to suit.     A reasonable nights sleep (in three instalments) and either getting used to pain or it has eased off slightly has seen a more comfortable day come and go.   Actually got out of house and had a trip to supermarket.  The lack of appetite to eat (any) food was matched by a lack of interest in the shopping aisles which used to stock my favourites.  No more curries, spicy chicken, chineses, beer, wine or spirits.  No fizzy drinks…

    An absolutely miserable night, with only three hours of broken sleep due to pain in throat, picking up some stronger medication later today which I hope will see me through weekend and until Tuesday when I can talk to my consultant. Ulceration getting worse making it sore to eat never mind the swallowing. Outside skin of neck still seems to be in good shape, slight reddening but now just waiting for that to become sore…
