Hallelujah! It is a Saturday and, wait for it... "Wooah We're Halfway There!" (Bon Jovi, 1986). With the battle truly underway I have pulled forward my two latest weapons. Extra strong cocodamol was first and following two bursts during the night I managed over 8 hours pain free sleep. Its not all one sided though as ulceration is creeping round to the left side of the mouth as well now. So enter weapon number 2 - Igloo. Paste this bad boy on the tongue and cheek areas and it forms a great defensive shield and numbs pain. Also came across some battlefield deception yesterday as a rather large ulcer inside upper lip turned out to be a bit of scrambled egg! Another victory for me. Treatment yesterday was in a different ward, with different roof pictures to look at which made a change. It was a late session which meant I didn't get home until gone 6pm. I now look forward to a weekend 'off'. My wife continues to look after me and is sooooo supportive and I am so grateful (even though I snap at times). All I can say to her is
"Take my hand and we'll make it I swear - Wooah Livin' on a Prayer".
