The out of hours service rang last night at 11.10pm and told me that Toni's HB levels are 6.2. So that accounts for the low energy and to an extent the swollen feet. So we're back to the hospital tomorrow for 2 bags of blood and the same on Friday. That should give him energy and hopefully mean he can start to get out of bed more and potter around.

All okay with the consutlant today and no problems so that was…

  • An epic journey

Today Toni had an appointment for an x-ray on his abdomen to check the stent is still in place. This means a journey of epic proportions which starts in the bedroom.

Apart from washing and keeping on top of the kitchen I haven't done much and it's been great. Such a pleasant change from last weekend and running round after the visitors. I'm long past caring about housework…

I seem to get anxious on Fridays as the approaching weekend makes me scared in case something goes wrong and I'm ringing emergency numbers. Mostly it's irrational as the hospice have an emergency number and there is someone there all the time, and I have the District Nurse twilight and weekend numbers as well as the GP. But it just seems to come on every Friday and I can't shake it.

    Today I noticed Toni's…
