Low HB

Less than one minute read time.

The out of hours service rang last night at 11.10pm and told me that Toni's HB levels are 6.2. So that accounts for the low energy and to an extent the swollen feet. So we're back to the hospital tomorrow for 2 bags of blood and the same on Friday. That should give him energy and hopefully mean he can start to get out of bed more and potter around.

All okay with the consutlant today and no problems so that was a relief.

In the meantime the toilet has sprung a leak so I've had water running down the kitchen walls and the ceiliing looks like there's water behind it. And I can't face dealing with it. I know I have to get the documents out and ring the insurance company but I just can't face ot yet.

I'll do it later (procrastinating as usual) when I feel a bit more up to having workmen in the house. Plus I have to arrange it round the hospital visits so it all seems a bit much.

Claire, I'm so sorry about your toilet, it's not as if you haven't had enough c**p in your life already!

Do you have an emergency policy?  We had a leak in one of our pipes late one night and we rang them and explained that I had just come out of hospital and they sent a man out within 2 hours to do an emergency repair.  The fact that Peter had put a nail through the pipe while stopping a bl***y floor board from squeaking didn't seem to phase the chap!

Glad to hear that Toni is being sorted with his bloods, it will make an immediate difference to his well being.

I am still mopping Peter's brow.  He is only sick when he takes the tablets.  He hasn'[t eaten since Saturday's raspberry jelly.  Doc is coming back on Friday, weather permitting.  I just hope that he doesn't whisk him into hospital for being dehydrated!

    Speak again.
