    So the C word hasn't interfered with Christmas ... that much. Had a couple of tearful moments and a couple of  grumpy moments all of which Carl delt with very well .... Thank you.

  • CT Scans, Tattoos and apointments

    So since my last post I have been for my CT scan and had my tatoos done I start my Radio thereapy on the 28th Dec 2010 and my chemo on the 31st Dec 2010.

    I just want to get started now!!!!! Money is a massive worry to my fella and I and we are already starting to struggle I hate having to ask my family but needs must.

    We both have our Works Christmas parites tomorrow which is somthing to look forward to.

  • I'll do my crying in the bath

    So today started off ok but this afternoon  was spent crying in bed and then this evening crying in the bath. Carl is now making my tea and we have wine and chocolate. Just watned people to know ( and me ) that all the PMA in the world isn't going to stop you having down days you just need to pick your self up and carry on living and not let them drag you down.

    So today I have received the official report from the oncologist.

    First they refer to me as MrsNutter - who I am pretty sure is my mum and not me.

    Second I think they have changed the staging of the cancer ( nice ofthem to tell me) but I cant be sure cause its all in jargon. My very nice oncologist nurse is on annual leave untill 15th dec so I cant speak to her so any hlep would be appretiated.

    So after a couple of hours at Blackburn hospital I came away feeling very drained. I had to go straight to work and all I wanted to do was curl up in bed and go to sleep so I didn't have to think about it.

    Treatment

    • 4 weeks of radiotherapy which will happen everyday Mon-Fri
    • Chemotherapy once a week for 4 weeks
    • then a two week break
    • then Brachytherapy at Christies in Manchester - This will mean I am in hospital…
