  • DVT WTF!!!!

    So 3 weeks after I am officially in remission and I end up carted off to A and E in an ambulance. Diagnosed with DVT! One injection of tinzaparin later and I am sent home with an appointment for the DVT clinic. I turn up at the DVT clinic for my 10 oclock appointment and have another test to prove I have DVT and an ultra sound scan to show a clot in my groin and one behind my knee.     So after all the ups and downs I have finally been told I am now in remission my MRI scan came back clear and there is no more sign of the cancer. :-)) Everyone is over the moon and we are now in full on wedding planning mode. 
    Still worry about it coming back but for now we are just enjoying life.
    I have recently started with some pain which I think is due to the radiotherapy and am waiting to hear back from…

    Well it's been a while since I last blogged, mainly because cancer hasn't been at the top of my list of things to think about recently - which I suppose is a good thing, I am busy trying to plan a wedding and apply for jobs for September. But I am off to the Oncologist next week so with the appointment that will tell me if my cancer has gone is looming, obviously, it moves up the list of things to think about.…

    So I am back at work! It feels good to be back everyone is so suportive but it is hard trying to keep up with things I let slip before Christmas due to the obvious. I'll get there though.   • Good news at last

    So I went to see my oncologist on Friday ( my birthday) and they were very pleased with my progress everything looked normal. MRI scan booked for early may Appointment to see oncologist early June. So all in all a good birthday was had by myself and my family and my new fiancé... That's right Carl popped the big question and I said yes so now I have a wedding to plan OMG I am a grown up!!
