    It's been a while as had a bit of trouble accessing the new site but happy that all sorted now :-)  Seem to have done quite a bit of moving on since my last  blog post.

    Had my follow up at Jimmys, weaned off the steroids and all OK (can sleep now ... yipeeeee) so referred  back to Pontefract for follow up and scans, appointment for 11th November.  Feeling tired in the afternoons but other than that all is good ... well…

    Had my last radiotherapy on Monday, couldn't quite believe I'd got through it, seemed to be such a long haul in front of me, then seemed like the normal thing to be doing, then done. Glad it's over and got to bring the mask home as kind of a grim souvenir ... might bring it out at halloween lol! Really thankful to staff at Jimmys, they have been great and really looked after me when I had breathing problems. Had check…

    Well that's 2 weeks done, 12 out of 15 treatments finished and still feeling good, medicines all working. On soft foods at the minute ... you would have thought I might get some of that weight off that I put on with the chemo ... but with ben and jerrys icecream being an ideal soft food and on offer at local supermarket I don't think that's going to happen ... yummmmmmm.     Can't thank staff at St James Hospital enough, from being in a lot of pain when breathing over the weekend I am now almost pain free :-) Went for my radiotherapy treatment on Monday and told them how I had fared over the weekend and they sorted out a doctor straight away who prescribed me dexamethasone for 3 days so that I have treatment until my next clinic appointment. Took one when I got home and another this morning…

    Well that's 5 down 10 to go. Appointments run until 2nd September and are on LINAC 7. On first day I came out with circles in a line down my nose from the mask, was oblivious to this until my hubby started laughing and then told me that I looked like a ferengi or something out of star trek and then said or it could be the little one from dinosaurs that says ' not the mama' ... my he knows how to make a girl feel good…
