It's been a while as had a bit of trouble accessing the new site but happy that all sorted now :-) Seem to have done quite a bit of moving on since my last blog post.
Had my follow up at Jimmys, weaned off the steroids and all OK (can sleep now ... yipeeeee) so referred back to Pontefract for follow up and scans, appointment for 11th November. Feeling tired in the afternoons but other than that all is good ... well except for the pot belly I seem to have developed ... embarrassed to say I've managed to put on nearly 2 stone since I started starting treatment. Would be nice to blame the treatment for that but once sick days were out of way I turned into a comfort eating chocoholic!
Had a meeting with my manager on Monday and talking about returning to work, have to wait for an appointment from Occupational Health and give them time to sort things out so will have to get another sick note for a month but hopefully this will be last one.
Got my first haircut on Thursday, had all the fluffy curls cut off the back and everything else just evened out - really just the whispy tufts. Didn't really expect much of a difference but think my hairdresser must be a miracle worker cos although very very short it looks like a real hair-do. Curls are not going to go away without a fight though, although curl free at the moment can only describe the back as short but bumpy lol!
Kitten settled in really well, bless him he has done me the world of good these last 4 weeks. He's had all jabs and been chipped now so will be able to let him out next Tuesday ... he's definately ready considering the amount of time he spends in the living room window :-)
