Radiotherapy week 1

Well that's 5 down 10 to go. Appointments run until 2nd September and are on LINAC 7. On first day I came out with circles in a line down my nose from the mask, was oblivious to this until my hubby started laughing and then told me that I looked like a ferengi or something out of star trek and then said or it could be the little one from dinosaurs that says ' not the mama' ... my he knows how to make a girl feel good lol! Had a bit of a set back on Wednesday when measurements weren't right so had to get planning team in to help sort before treatment could happen. Was strapped to table by the mask for around an hour and when got off fingers were numb and had the circles from the mask all over the place ... face, under chin and each shoulder. Radiography team were great though, explained everything and was really glad to know they were doing everything to make sure the treatment was right, they are all really friendly making me feel at ease and in good hands. Was doing OK until Friday when my chest started to get a bit sore and tight especially when breathing in, mentioned this to radiographer but had expected it although hoped I might get to the end of next week before it started. Have been struggling today with chest pain and difficulty breathing, have had to stay indoors because heat was making it worse and went dizzy at one point. Not sure if it will ease over weekend ready for Mondays zapping ... fingers crossed. Sleeping on 4 pillows tonight lol! 1/3 of the way through sounds better though and will be half way there on Wednesday ... light at end of tunnel getting bigger :-)
