    I just wanted to leave a note here... 

    Dal has managed to beat the chest infection / cold which lingered for quite some time..  he also continues his treatment

    Although delayed he has had a his CT scan and his Echocardiogram, bloods and Oncologist update... 

    It is amazing to report, that Dal continues to do well, the bloods continue to remain very good, the lymph nodes around his stomach are returning to normal, his chest…

  • Starting the New Year 2022

    Happy New Year to you all... or at least, I hope it is a good year for many of you. 

    Last year was the year I had imagined We would never have! after Dal's Diagnosis in May 2020 and the prognosis given, we embraced 2020 with a view that there may not be a 2021 for us, but there was.   

    2021 brought us many ups and downs, both with Dal's cancer treatment and within our own lives, but it was a year where we threw abandon…

  • Biopsy Update

    Sorry to leave everyone hanging and delaying the update of our blog, we have been waiting on updates and results which we received on Monday. 

    The strangest of things happened : As you know if you have been reading the blog, Dal was called in for a pre-assessment early, which included a CT scan of his chest / lungs in preparation for the biopsy surgery on Saturday 30th October. 

    Surgery day comes, and we are up at 04.45am…

  • Biopsy update

    Phone call received today, Dal is to go in tomorrow for the pre- assessment and have the Biopsy on Saturday ,, so all happening this week rather than next, which obviously means we should get the results quicker too. 

    Dal does seem to be bruising easier from small knocks, something to keep an eye on, but overall, he continues to do well. 

    Things are getting busy in the hospital, times and dates for chemo are changing due…

  • Navigational Bronchoscopy

    Sorry for my delay in updating the blog, we had the call on October 6th from the lung specialist and were advised that a Biopsy needs to be taken from Dal's right lung to determine the cause of the markers they found during the scan. 

    So to do this they will perform a navigational bronchoscopy, which is basically a telescope down the throat that is guided by a CAT scan through the veins to the correct area of the right…
