Facing the future: Together

  • How quickly things change

Last week Tuesday Dal received a surprise phone call from the oncologist,

With Dal's blood readings he was told that the 4000 reading is now 12 and the one that was 24 is now less than 1, and once it's less than 1 it can't be measured.. so his bloods are all within the normal range, and it is likely that there will be little change now. The scan itself shows that everything is stable, the tumours in the lung are undetectable…

  • The beginning of our Journey.

Dal had a procedure at the end of February which involved a great deal of pressure on his stomach and for about a week afterwards he was obviously very sore and uncomfortable. By mid March he started to feel uncomfortable eating and by Easter he had only managed to eat one full meal a week. He contacted the GP, as Covid19 demanded that only telephone consultations took place, and a change in medication was suggested,…

  • Early April update

I just wanted to leave a note here...

Dal has managed to beat the chest infection / cold which lingered for quite some time..  he also continues his treatment

Although delayed he has had a his CT scan and his Echocardiogram, bloods and Oncologist update...

It is amazing to report, that Dal continues to do well, the bloods continue to remain very good, the lymph nodes around his stomach are returning to normal, his chest…

  • Scan 16th September

We didn't expect a phone call from the hospital so quickly after the scan yesterday, 16th September.

This afternoon Dal was called and informed that although it doesn't look it is too much to worry about, but they have noticed some spots on his lungs. Although they do not think that the spots look like cancer, they need to have the images looked at further by a lung expert, they believe that it may be an infection…
