Facing the future: Together

  • October 2024 - bad and good news , alongside a stressful couple of months

    Hi All

Sorry for my absence, we have been on a bit of a roller-coaster over the past few months..

    Dal is well!

After several steroid attempts to clear the pneumonitis in his lungs, it was decided by the sponsors' that Dal's lungs were not going to correctly heal, and that the trial treatment was only going to make things worse. Dal would be taken off the trial and we would now have to wait to see what else could be done…

  • Heading into the New Year Continued Again!!

Tuesday, Scan day, Blood Test and then Oncologist phone call.

I have found the past few days so tough! A rollercoaster of a ride, but the ride continues! it has it's scary times, it has it's laughs and it has it's emotional breakdowns, and all of this is necessary..... for we are working towards a positive outcome.

We took a camping trip to Somerset, just a long weekend, it is amazing what a short trip away can do to make you feel better about life in general.

Treatment continues - just about to start…

  • New Trial Treatment - March 2024

The New Trial Treatment started on March 1st,

The last three months have been extremely difficult, mostly due to the not knowing, or due to Dal's concerns that he felt as if he was waiting and waiting on next steps... We really didn;t have any option other to wait.

The new hospital is very different to the old hospital, this highlighted to me that it is so difficult to give guidance or advice on treatment, as even…
