BronB's Radiotherapy Journey - treatment to the Salivary Gland

  • Session 15 - 15 remaining HALFWAY!

My friend took me to the hospital today as mum is having the weekend off and at home in Yorkshire. I still have double vision and I am still taking regular meds (solpadeine and ibuprofen) plus I continue to carry out good oral hygiene - using Oral Nurse unflavoured toothpaste and pink tablet mouthwash. I have stopped using the irrigator (like a mini jet washer auto floss) as my gums were beginning to bleed due to…
  • Sessions 12,13,14 - 16 remaining

I haven't written for a few days ... mainly because I have developed double vision and I don't really enjoy reading or writing as much. I apologise in advance, because this post is really, really long!

Interesting experiments will follow I'm sure, but the main one will be trying to determine why I eat? For the taste, the feeling of food in my mouth, or because my tummy is empty ..... Maybe there's a 4th option - lets call it 'some other reason'. If I were a betting…
  • Session 10 - 20 sessions remaining

Another strawberries and cream milk shake to start my day and a catch up with one of my friends ... Then it was time to head for my treatment. Afterwards I started to feel a little pre-fatigued (genuine 'get me out of here real soon' fatigue) while doing the Tesco shop and once I got home I took advantage of Mariella being at a friends house for tea .... I had 30 mins rest and snooze. While the 30 mins did leave me…
