After losing the ability to taste on Saturday, I'm glad that I have recovered this sense (around the time of Sunday's roast dinner).
My mouth continues to feel sore inside my cheek and towards the back of my mouth. I had to stop eating raspberries today because the sensation was too painful - so food choices are important.
On the basis that I haven't lost weight so far, I today started a more focussed eating regime. I am having a healthy protein, fruit & veg, limited carb diet with lots of water (water is same as always). I am trying to cut out sugar but have today eaten a fromage frais and 2 x cupcakes with icing on (so that equals a FAIL!!).
I was tired (yes, fatigued) over the weekend and tried to go with what my body asked for. I also had a headache most of Sunday and my painkillers didn't relieve this. I wonder whether the headache was due to treatment, or due to the back massage I had Saturday evening. Either way, I won't be repeating the back massage during treatment.
So far I have not experienced any other symptoms, but am wondering when my taste will disappear again. Maybe the weekends are all about the radiotherapy taking its main effect and then the recovery partially taking place? Let's see next weekend.
