Hi,
Can I please ask your thoughts.
I have just come back from my scans and the lady who conducted the internal scan, said she was putting me forward for a biopsy as my womb lining thickness is just over what it should be. She didn't seem to concerned. Can I please ask if anyone had the same or what does it mean?
Many thanks,
Michaela.
Hi Michaela,
I know they don't like thick linings. I think its an indication of cancer. But, mine was normal, and I still had cancer! At first he could not see anything wrong with me, and thought my bleed was thinning of the vagina. Then he noticed more fluid than there should have been, and did a biopsy. That found the cancer!!! I think a biopsy is the only sure way of ruling out cancer.
No good telling you not to worry, because you will. Wishing you all the best. xxxxx
Hi Michaela
My first test was an ultrasound which showed the lining had thickened, because of that I was referred for a hysteroscopy (camera in the womb) and biopsy. Had to have the hysteroscopy and biopsy under anaesthetic (epidural) as they could get the camera in! (had a stenosed cervix)
Good luck for next Wednesday, let us know how you get on.
Big hugs, Barb xx
