Hi all,

Tess here. Had my Hysterectomy 4weeks ago, getting there slowly. But better each day. Had a call from my surgeon this afternoon with the hystology results.

Unfortunately, although still stage 1a the cancer has been found to be serous which he said was an aggressive type and that I will need chemo/radiotherapy. He said the oncologist will call me next week to arrange an appointment to discuss.  Am really worried and scared, he said I didn't have to go ahead, but  advised me that It would be best to help stop reoccurance.

I feel really upset and am full of anxiety. Can anyone help please.

Thank you

  • Hi and . I can say with all honesty once I've got over the couple of wobbly days a week after the chemo I feel absolutely fine. Some day things don't taste very good but looking back over my chemo diary of 6 cycles it definitely followed a pattern. I started to take the anti nausea pills on day 4 or 5 (whether or not I felt nauseaous) for the 5 days stated and it was day 7 or 8 I felt really wobbly and went back to bed.

BTW my wig lady said when you hair starts to grow back shave it again when it gets to about half an inch. The reason there'll still be some chemo affecting the roots.

    Sending hugs, Barb xx
