Hello

First off I just want to say already how helpful I’ve found this group, although I’m sad to be here.

I found what I can only describe as a white, wart like growth on my vagina last week, on my Fourchette region (I’m learning all the official names for these parts!) The area isn’t raised like a wart but flat with a rough texture and irregular edges.

My GP has sent me for a 2 week wait appt with gynae which is this Thursday. I’m so scared as to what this growth could be. I’m only 29 and absolutely terrified. I’ve never had a history of genital warts although not ruling that out given that I’ve read you can be a carrier for a number of years.

I've also done loads of reading on here (thank you) about VIN although I have no itching or soreness to the area. It was actually an accidental find more than an irritation.

I’m so anxious and can’t concentrate. I have had health anxiety as it is. I’ve been trying not to check the area but checked tonight and all I can say is I wish I hadn’t as I’ve noticed the area has grown.

I know I need to wait to see the gynaecologist Thursday for a definite diagnosis but does anyone have any advice or experience as to what this could possibly be?

Thanks for taking the time to read this x

    Hi Ceressimo,
I’ve been apply the cream for 7 weeks I apply it to the scar line as I had positive margins. I have mild redness pain/discomfort and I have two little areas that breakdown from time to time. I find I can’t sit or stand for long as this causes me pain but saying that I still manage to get in with day to day tasks at home. When I’m showering I use epaderm cream which helps calm the area. Hope that helps xx

    Hey, sorry I missed this.

Aah, the vinegar test, how nice!  Stupid me, didn’t even think it could be the cream, but it does affect the area so could well be that, so the barrier cream should work well.  I’m pretty sure I remember at some point being prescribed steroid cream and my consultant said it doesn’t work.  Could be wrong, but as you know, my history crosses many years, I’m getting old and my memory is crap!!
Keep up the positivity and breathing.  Remember worry and stress is not your friend Stuck out tongue winking eye.  Take care xx

    Hiya

sorry to butt back in but just curious - does anyone have a scar(s) after their biopsy? Mine had a little lump scar which looks pink / white. It’s on my fourchette area so I’m really paranoid it will narrow the area causing pain. I’m only 1.5 weeks post biopsy so probably still some healing to do!

    TIA x

  • Yes I have a few scars x

  • thanks so.much it really helps when you know that you are not on your own x

  • give the healing process time sending hugs x

    Hello

been a while since I last post. My biopsy came back as a ‘warty lesion’ with some dysplasia. I’ve had to go back today to have the full area removed and 4 dissolvable stitches. Ouch. I’m in so much pain Sob. Please tell me this gets better? So much sorer than when I had the biopsy.

Hello, I found out 2 years ago and I had no symptoms, I just had a enlarged lip and a white spot.  I did have warts at 16. I am now 50 so I guess it stays there forever even if not shown up on pap. Prayhad a real horrible experience at cancer center treatments but have a great oncologist now. You may just have a wart or early stage. I’m here if you have any questions! Wishing you best of luck PrayPray
