Hi I'm new to this site. I'm out of my mind to be honest. I've found a small hard lump to the side of my clitoris. The lump is pea sized and normal in colour. Sticks out a bit. It's not sore. I had pap test in January and it came back positive for hpv but no changes in cells so have to have a smear again next january. Could this lump be cancerous? I'm 48. I will call gp tomorrow but I cant get an appointment with them. Thanks x

  • Hi Flower 19 I am not surprised you are worried about this. It could be a number of things. It make be a blocked hair follicle, or a cyst, but no matter what it is you must get it checked with your GP.  Doctors are doing face to face appointments, but you may have to go through the whole telephone consultation system first, but they will see you to find out what this is.

Let us know how you get on x

It wont be a hair follicle I'm pretty sure, it's too far in. Theres no hair there. Sob x

  • I know this is frightening, and anything like this is embarrassing, but we are all aware that early detection is so important. You must be worrying about it to have come here. My thoughts are that if you are that embarrassed, get it done now, then change your GP. Then you don't have to see him again  Joy

Hi, well I managed to get into the drs today face to face with a female dr. Only to be faced with her saying I have a student here is it ok he is here. Sorry mate I know u have to learn some how but it's bad enough and took melong enough to pluck up the courage to have 1 person peering in. Shes not worried at this stage it seems to be a cyst. Antibiotics and cream and hopefully it's ok. After 4 nights of no sleep I cant wait to go to bed tnt. Thank you so much for your support and please keep me posted on how you get on.  I've lost all messages on here so cant find anyone else who commented.   Good luck with your appointments.  I'm so glad my don and I have joined a ukulele group and world ukulele day we were part of over 300 ukulele players in the town centre in aid of Macmillan. In total since he was 8 hes now 11 hes helped raise over 100k for various charities. I'm so grateful to everyone xxxx

  • Hi Flower 19. I am so glad you went to the doctors, and even more happy that all seems well.  I can imagine how you felt when she asked about the student. They pick their time to do some training don't they. It reminded me of when I was having problems before my hysterectomy, and I was in hospital being examined by a doctor. I was led on the bed with my legs in stirrups, and the doctor said he would be back in a minute. So I led on the bed, closed my eyes, feeling very uncomfortable with my legs in the air, when I heard the doctors voice. Only when I opened my eyes I saw he had brought half a dozen students in with him! without asking! If I could of run I would.

Ukulele day sounds amazing.  It is great that your son has found something that he loves to do, and to be able to use that talent to help raise money for charity is awesome.  He sounds like a wonderful young man, and you must be very proud.

    Take care xx

Just when I'd calmed down theres now a white splodge either side so I'm back to being panic strickenSee no evilSob

  • Hi flower 19.
I can understand how this would worry you but I wouldn’t panic because the doctor has just examined you, so she would of seen if there was anything there to be concerned about.  If you are still worried about it next week, I would call your GP again.
