Hi, I had a right side orchiectomy 8 months ago, I seem to be having a lot of sciatic pain on left and right side (never at the same time).
Pain is worse on the remaining left side, pain is felt in remaining testicle, the scrotum, the groin, back of leg, the front and back of knee and down into the feet, affects both sides.
It feels like some crazy cross-talk is going on from having the right cord severed.
Hi Chip5
I'm sorry to read that you are suffering with sciatic pain.
I typed 'sciatic' in the search bar in the group but your post is the only one that mentions this. Of course it doesn't mean that other men haven't experienced this after having an orchiectomy just that they haven't posted about it.
Have you spoken to your CNS or consultant about this as I'm sure they'd want to be able to help if they can?
It would be great if you could pop something about your diagnosis and treatment into your profile as it really helps others when answering or looking for someone with a similar diagnosis. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
I hope you get some relief from the sciatica soon.
x
