Hi there im Kim
35, with rare sarcoma tumour. Would love to chat to people who can give me some advice and tips?
I’ve had my hysterectomy (as it was attached to my cervix) very rare!
im starting preventative treatment of chemotherapy & radiotherapy. My margins were less than 1mm - although I show no cancer I’ve been told there’s no way of knowing none are sticking to vessels behind. So advising this to ensure it can’t return!
would love to chat to people x
Hi Kim35
A warm welcome to our community, I hope you find it useful.
My wife has Leiomyosarcoma, the doctors believe it started with a fibroid but was not detected until some time after an emergency hysterectomy when her lymph nodes did not return to normal. She has had two types of chemotherapy and the second rendered her cancer stable and she has been like that for over 10 years now.

Hi Kim35
She had Doxyrubicin as her first line chemo, it worked in killing the cancer cells but unfortunately some of those were at the time the wall of her lung so caused a lung to collapse - that was curable of course and then after that they tried Gemcatabine.
Her cancer may be hormone sensitive and so she is still taking Letzerole so shut down her remaining ovary.
