Hi, I have recently been diagnosed with LMS of the abdomen and am being treated by the Royal Marsden. They have decided not to operate but have put me on letrozole as the soft tissue masses seem to love the oestrogen that is being produced. I am 72 so was surprised about that! I was wondering if anyone else has been put on these tablets and what their experience of them is. I have only been on the tablets for 2 months and have experienced several of the side effects already but they seem to have settled down now, thankfully. I am also suffering from ascites and need abdominal drainage at regular intervals. I would love to hear from you about your LMS experiences and journey. With love xxxx
Hi Ginnylinney
My wife Janice has been taking letrozole for over 10 years after being diagnosed with LMS. There are some brands she likes better than the others.
She has loads of mets in her lungs and has had two different types of chemotherapy - the second of which rendered her cancer stable and been like that for a long time now.
<<hugs>>
Steve
