Newly diagnosed with recurrent low grade intimal Sarcoma of the heart. Just finished my first cycle of chemotherapy  (and first experience with chemotherapy) to help shrink the mass before surgeons attempt to remove.

I had a mass back in December 2023 that was removed but it went undiagnosed until about April/May 2024. Found out in August that it had returned (with no symptoms). I’ve been too scared to join any forums incase I see something I don’t like, but I’ve decided that I should be brave like the rest of you and reach out to people going through something similar

Anyway hello to everyone Slight smile

  • Hello Kay_1234

Welcome to the Soft Tissues sarcoma group.

Please do not feel scared by joining the forum. You can dip in and out as much or as little as you want to and most people feel that sharing does help. Cancer is such a tough journey with so many ups and downs I have found it better to talk with people going through similar.

We also have the Support Line that you are welcome to call if you feel it would help.

I am sorry to hear of your cancer. How are you finding the chemotherapy? I had chemo myself and although it was not easy at times it was doable. I did have side effects but on the whole they could be managed with medication.

    Jane
