Hi new to the group.
My son was diagnosed just yesterday with soft tissue sarcoma with a tumour in his hip either pressing on or attached to his bladder and kidney...this is all we know so far. He went into hospital 2 weeks ago after an accident in work caused his leg to swell triple it's size and then they found this so maybe the accident was a blessing in disguise I don't know.
He's only 21...he's my oldest boy. I am trying to keep my head together but it's hard and waiting for a treatment plan is killing me
Hi Netty43
I'm very sorry to read about your son's recent diagnosis and I know how hard something like this is for the whole family. Hopefully once he has a treatment plan you'll all feel more in control.

Hello my daughter has a metastatic soft tissue Ewings sarcoma from her pancreas. Diagnosed in March 2023. She’s under the care of the Churchill hospital in Oxford - a specialist sarcoma unit. She had 14 cycles of chemo - very intense- and 20 sessions of radiotherapy. The tumour at its largest was 20cm now 4cm. Her latest scan shows things are stable. As a parent it’s a terrible situation to be in. I hope your son has a plan in place by now & is being treated in a specialist sarcoma unit.
