GIST in stomach

just to add I have a hiatus hernia too.  Im sure the last gastroscopy caused it to become more painful.  I dont know which symptoms are gist and which are hernia but am so unwell..basically bedrest and like this for a month now

Hi Tracy Anne  hope you don't mind me asking how you are getting now?  On 20th if March, I was told I had a GIST, found during an endoscopy, in the stomach.  I have been referred to another hospital for another endoscopy with ultrasound, still waiting for the appointment.  My gist is 1cm and I also have a hiatus hernia.  Like you, I am sure the tests have caused more pain in my tummy.  Hope you are doing ok xx

Thanks for your good wishes. Basically I saw a gist specialist and they are just checking me with another gastroscopy at 6 months. If no growth they want to leave everything alone. They dont think the gist is big enough to cause pain. I have really bad reflux and another hospital thinks that is what is causing the pain. Keep in touch. Where are you in Uk? We sound in simialr situation, kind regards Tracy

Hi, I am near Chester so now been referred to Liverpool for the endoscopy with ultrasound, been waiting a bit though.  I am the same with reflux, horrible isn't it!.  Getting more tummy pain since they started checking.  Where in the UK are you 

It was annoying to have to go through an endoscopy then an Euu but my hospital didnt have euu no idea why I didnt send me to a different hospital and get the euu first time

This time around Ive asked for the euu as was again booked for an endoscopy! Crazy. Its 6 months later next.month!
