Hi. Not sure what I am doing here. My husband has a dediff liposarcoma of the abdomen. It is a 3 stone mass and fills his entire abdomen . It is due to medical negligence and has been told that he has weeks/ months to live. We have been turned down by 3 Hospitals as it is so large. The 4th hospital is giving him reduced chemo as they are worried it will kill him before the liposarcoma will. The liposarcoma is starving him and looks like a skeleton apart from the protruding mass. Cannot believe we are in this situation and find it hard to carry on.
Hi Amycakes
So sorry to read about what your husband and by association you are going though. I remember all the scary risks when Janice had chemo that includes, like many treatments, "you might die".
I know I really struggled when Janice was really ill and wondered how to get through it - until I broke. Found some kind people to pick me up and somehow we kept going. I did have to learn how to look after me though and sometimes that can feel just a little bit selfish until I realise if I don;t get to recharge then I am no use for anything. Sometimes sharing on here or talking to the helpline can help push me back onto some kind of track.
<<hugs>>
Steve
