Hi sitting here in my gown and socks waiting for the anaesthetist. I was admitted yesterday for gynae surgery for endometrial sarcoma. Saw the surgeon who told me the last CT scan showed adhesion to my bowel and tumour on my liver as well as the lung tumours and gynae stuff.
I am going to have an exploratory laparotomy to see if they can anything for me. I got marked up for a colostomy in the evening. What a day and what will happen today?
This stuff can seriously mess with your head.

Hi Jane sadly the news was not good. They did a hysterectomy to my relief as I know it will make a big difference to my quality of life down the line. However the surgeon side there are infiltratng patches on my bowel stomach liver both sides of my diaphragm and round my kidneys and aorta so impossible to remove all of them. I knew this was a possibility. So not the best news but not the worst. At least she didn't do open and close.
Regards Nanci
I am assuming so, the lung people have referred me to the breast team who will apparently liaise with the gynae team and decide what chemo is best for me. I am feeling ok all things considered. We will see after my first chemo consultation if I am feeling the same way.
